AFTER REVIEWING THE REVIWS I DECIDED TO GIVE WEBROOT A TRY, SINCE INSTALLING ON MY P.C I HAVE NOTICED THAT IT SEEMS TO BE RUNNING VERY SLOW, AND I DON’T FIND IT TO BE VERY EFFECTIVE.

I had McAfee security installed on my system and was invaded by malware.exe. McAfee tech support was of absolutely no help.

Via various methods I managed to eliminate most of the problems but something still was not right. I went online and tried no less than 6 of the top antivirus programs and all said my system was fine.

I accidently happened upon Webroot Antivirus with Spy Sweeper and tried their free search. It found a whole host of problems the others had missed. I purchased the software which is good for 3 computers (which is good because that’s how many I have) for only $27. It cleaned up all 3 computers. From time to time on my scan it still will pick up some unexpeted problems and eliminate them.

I love this product as it does what it is supposed to do where 6 of the top competing products did not.

I installed Webroot AntiVirus with Spy Sweeper 3 weeks ago and have been happy with it’s performance so far. Installation was quick and easy (XP desktop and a Vista laptop).

It was #3 on anti-virus-software-review [...] and also got good reviews on Amazon. I really wanted to try the free Microsoft Security Essentials, BUT I understand you have to give up the option to review and accept updates from Microsoft and I’ve had my reasons in the past to decline some of these (including SP3 for XP). Therefore, I had to “bite the bullet” and continue to pay for AntiVirus protection.

The price was right on Amazon and the free delivery was on time as usual. As previously stated I don’t have any complaints and feel like the virus protection is good. Webroot does not seem to slow my systems down like some AntiVirus programs do.

My first computer got a virus and the anti virus I used to have could not get rid of it, I was told that might be a spy that regular antivirus software can not get rid of it. I had to pay 150 USD to fix the problem but my old computer has been slow and not as good as it used to be, I had to buy another computer . After that disaster I decided to get antivirus with spysweeper I have been using Webroot for two years, and it cleans all the threats and keep your computer safe. It is worth every penny.. the peace of mind. Thank you Webroot for this excellent product. I buy from Amazon and usually i do not write reviews, but this time i felt i need to share my experience to help others.

I have used Norton and McAfee anti virus in the past and they were so-so, but decided to try this product after a “Geek” worker in Best Buy told me to bring my laptop into him to rid it of a virus I had discribed to him and he told me that no soft ware could remove it. He would rid the computer of this virus for $299.00!!!!!! McAfee and Norton were full price around $60.00 but Webroot was on sale for 1/2 price, about $30.00 so I decided what the heck, if it don’t work, I will look into a new computer before spending $300.00 for a “geek” to fix it. Well I was very supprised after installing the product and doing a full sweep of the computer drives it found and placed in quarantine the virus, spyware and adware that had taken over the computer. That was a year ago and the computer is working fine, I have Webroot set up to do a sweep once a week. Last month I had to renew the Webroot for another year and went to their web site but they wanted $60.00+ to renew! I went to Amazon.com to check out the prices and look at more reviews. The price through Amazon was the same price I paid last year at 1/2 price from Best Buy. So I am good to go for another year, and the good thing I forgot to mention is that you can protect and sweep up to three computers. So our desk top, our lap top and our daughters computer are all protected for the one price. And again as I said, shop around for the best price and many items from Amazon ship free which is always a plus.
